Thousand of artisans and craftsmen were involved in constructing the Taj Mahal., the construction began in the year 1632 and was completed in the year 1653. Ustad Ahmad Lahauri.is the principal designer of the Taj Mahal.
After Taj Mahal's completion , Shah Jahan was put under house arrest by his son Aurangazeb. After his death he was buried in the mausoleum next to his wife.
